How Can We Help?

First: Decide What's Next
When your Genesis lease ends, you have several options:
1. Return your lease and walk away
Choosing this option will require you to pay disposition
(turn-in) fees, per your original lease contract, at the lease maturity date.
You will also be charged Excess Wear and Use fees and Excess Mileage fees if
deemed necessary.
About Excess Wear and Use Fees
Acceptable levels of damage when returning your lease
include:
Scratches less than 4" in length
Windshield cracks less than 2" in length
Window chips less than ½" in diameter
Dings and dents less than 4" in diameter
Paint chips less than ½" in diameter
Tire tread equal to or greater than 1/8"
Always conduct a free lease-end inspection at least 60 days
prior to turning in your luxury SUV or sedan. Inspections enable you to repair
or correct any issues prior to the lease-end date. Schedule your Genesis lease
inspection online here.
About Excess Mileage Fees
Mile overages cost $0.25/mile.
Review your lease contract for mileage restrictions, which typically range from
10,000 to 15,000 miles annually. (Fees will likely be assessed later, not at
the dealership.)
2. Return your lease and lease or purchase a new Genesis
As a loyal Genesis lessee, you're rewarded for re-leasing or
purchasing another vehicle at our Genesis dealership near Aventura. Up to $400
in disposition fees, $500 in Excess Wear and Use charges, and $625 in Excess
Mileage charges will be covered (up to a total of $1,525). This is your Genesis
Loyalty Reward.
If you really love your Genesis - and who wouldn't? - you
may want to keep it. In that case, you have the option to purchase the vehicle
at its residual value, which was set when you originally leased your Genesis
(check your lease contract or request a Genesis Buyout Quote from your dealer).
You won't be forced to pay any excess use or mileage fees,
but you will have to pay in cash or get financing, and you'll be responsible
for paying sales tax.
There are other options, like lease extensions and lease
transfers, but these are less common and can be more complex. Speak with your
Genesis dealer for additional details.
Lease-End FAQs
Can I return my leased Genesis to any Genesis dealer?
Yes, you can bring your vehicle to any authorized Genesis
dealership, not only the one from which you leased.
Do I need to go to an authorized Genesis service center
for lease-end repairs?
While Genesis dealers are the best place to get assistance
with repair options, they're not mandatory. You may choose to have any repairs
performed by an independent mechanic or service center, so long as they are
done properly, and all parts are replaced with OEM components.
Can I turn my lease in early?
You can return your Genesis lease at any time, but you are
responsible for paying the balance on your lease or paying an early termination
fee to get out of your lease early. Consult with your Genesis dealer for more
details.
How do I extend my Genesis lease?
In certain circumstances, you can request an extension of your
Genesis car lease. These can range from one month to several months. Contact a
Genesis Lease-End Concierge at 833-537-5441 or speak with a salesperson at your
Genesis dealership for assistance.
What if I accidentally go past my lease maturity date?
You must return your Genesis lease by the lease-end/maturity
date. If you do not, your vehicle may be repossessed, and you could be charged
extra.
If you are unable to make it to the dealership for some
reason, or if you need more time to make repairs, speak with your Genesis
dealer or a Lease-End Concierge to go over your options.
Schedule a lease-end inspection at least 60 days prior to
the end of your lease.
Repair or correct any issues discovered during your
